“Duty, Honor, Country”
On May 12, 1962, General of the Army Douglas MacArthur delivered an address to the cadets at West Point after receiving the Sylvanus Thayer Award. He urged the cadets to remember that their mission remains “fixed, determined, inviolable: it is to win our wars.”  It was one of the greatest and most memorable speeches of the 20th century.
