Suzanne McLees’ career in international development, focused primarily on women’s health, spanned 35 years of managing programs and projects funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), private foundations, the World Bank, and other bilateral and multilateral organizations. She completed short-term assignments in 17 countries on five continents, including residence in Ghana where she built relationships with business partners and trained African medical professionals and colleagues in best practices to develop new business opportunities. For private companies and non-profit organizations, she supervised international teams working to secure large competitive contracts and grants from the US Government and private foundations.
Early in her career, she worked three years at the Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD) in Paris. A native of Washington, DC whose parents had life-long careers on Capitol Hill, her own earliest professional experience was with the US House of Representatives. Academic credentials include an MA and BS, both from Georgetown University.
