A Change of the Guard

American Diplomacy informs its readership that our book review editor for the past nine years or so has resigned his post. Dr. Rorin Platt will remain on the American Diplomacy Publishers board of directors, but has decided to focus his attention on fulfilling his teaching duties and research interests at Campbell University, Buies Creek, North Carolina.

The journal takes pleasure in announcing that his replacement has taken up the responsibilities of the position. The book review editor now is Thomas H. Oatley, associate professor of political science at the University of North Carolina. at Chapel Hill.

Prof. Oatley received his doctorate from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, in 1994. Prior to that time he studied at the University of Geneva and the University of Southern Maine. He taught at Emory University and at Oglethorpe University, both in Atlanta, Georgia, and at Harvard University before coming to University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993.

A member of the American Diplomacy Publishers board since 2003, he has published three books in the field of international economics and numerous book reviews, articles, and chapters in books.

“American Diplomacy” welcomes Dr. Oatley on board and looks forward to a long editorial partnership with him.
